SIBU: The Lions Club of Sibu Pahlawan (LCSP) recently made cash donations to two local charity organisations in an effort to foster a more caring society.
The beneficiaries were the Sibu Kidney Foundation (SKF) and the Association for Children with Special Needs Sibu (ACSNS), each receiving RM500.
LCSP president Kong Tze Ling presented the cheques at the charities’ respective premises and the handover was witnessed by Datuk Betty Wong Yieng, past governor of Lions International District 308-A2, Dixon Chiu, Region 2 Chairperson, and other LCSP members.
“Though not large, we hope our contribution will assist these charities with their operational costs. We also encourage more donors to come forward,” he said.
