MUKAH: The community hopes that the Klinik Kommuniti located at Pasar Lama Mukah here will go back to its usual operating hours from 9am to 9pm.

According to a news report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), the clinic’s current operating hours are from 11am to 8pm which many locals find it inconvenient due to the long queues.

“This situation is troubling the people, especially those who have travelled from the rural areas to get treatment and services from the clinic,” UKAS reported today (Feb 14).

Following public complaints, Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine visited the clinic which was previously known as Klinik 1 Malaysia yesterday (Feb 13).

Royston had the opportunity to get a health check-up and hoped that the operating hours would be reviewed to ensure health services are being provided to the people at an optimal level.

For the record, the clinic started operating in October 2012 and has provided excellent services to the people of Mukah and its surroundings.
