KUCHING: In celebration of the Maal Hijrah Festival 1445H/2023, the ‘Jualan Rahmah’ Programme is set to take place at the Sarawak Jamek Mosque grounds on July 29. Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai, the Chief Executive Officer of the Sarawak State Mosque Welfare Trust (LAKMNS), announced that the program is a collaborative effort with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDN). It aims to offer 16 essential items at affordable prices to the public from 8 am to 6 pm.

The festival, spanning three days at the Jamek Sarawak Mosque, will be a delightful experience for visitors of all ages and backgrounds. It will encompass various events, including Spiritual, Competition, Exhibition, Sports, and Commercial segments.

An exciting aspect of the festival will be the participation of uniformed personnel from organizations such as the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), Fire and Maritime, who will conduct military exhibitions. Additionally, informative infokiosk exhibitions from government and private agencies will be set up. The Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability (MEESty) will share insights on Sarawak Government’s sustainability policies and related issues during the festival.

Lucky visitors will have a chance to win attractive prizes, including motorcycles, LED TVs, air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, Samsung tablets, and more, in the lucky draw.

Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai warmly invites people from all walks of life, regardless of religion and race, to participate in the festival’s engaging activities.
