KUCHING: The state’s representatives for the national-level Tilawah and Menghafaz Al-Quran 1443H/2022M are urged to do their best and make Sarawak proud.
Sarawak Islamic Council (MIS) chairman Datuk Misnu Tahir reminded them that Sarawakians would be rooting for the representatives to be bring home victory.
“Fellow Sarawakians regardless of religions would be pleased and proud of any achievements in the national level competition,” he said today (May 31).
e also advised the representatives to utilise the opportunity to showcase their abilities and uphold strong spirit of determination in winning.
“I hope that Sarawak will be able to bring home the trophy this year similar to previous years,” he added.
Representing the state are Ustaz Mohd Safwan Mahli (Qari), Rozaiah Ayup (Qariah), Abang Hishammudin Abang Sapuan (Juzuk 1 – 10), Aisyah Yussof (Juzuk 1 – 10), Muhamad Suib Annuar (Juzuk 1 – 20) and Nurul Mukhali (Juzuk 1 – 20).
The national level competition will take place from June 9 to 19 at Dewan Besar Pusat Islam Iskandar Johor Bahru in Johor.
