Man hospitalised after jumping from flat

KUCHING: A 21-year-old man sustained head injuries after he allegedly jumped from a flat along Jalan Setia Raja last night (Feb 6).

Firemen from Tabuan Jaya station, along with police and paramedics, rushed to the scene after being alerted around 11.18 pm.

According to the victim’s family, he leaped from the third floor and landed on a parked car.

Upon arrival, responders found the man, exhibiting aggressive behavior, on the fourth floor with a head injury.

After persuading and calming him down, the team intervened and prevented further self-harm.

The man was later taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for medical treatment.
