SIBU: A male driver cheats death after his pickup truck skidded and crashed into a flooded ditch along Jalan Wong King Hou this morning (Feb 19).
A spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said the accident happened around 2am near a petrol station.
Firemen from Sibu station were promptly deployed to the scene after the driver was reportedly stuck in his seat.
The 48-year-old who was brought out of the vehicle sustained light injuries, and first aid was administered to him.
He was later taken to the hospital for further treatment.
The team wrapped up the operation at 3.05am before heading back to their station.
