KUCHING: Kuching South City Council’s highly anticipated Ramadan Bazaar is making a comeback during the month of Ramadan, slated from March 12 to the end of April.

Mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng said interested vendors can start submitting applications from today (Jan 30) until the deadline set for Feb 13. He assured a fair and transparent selection process.

“A total of 160 stalls will be made available, featuring diverse culinary delights, including 24 for drinks, 60 for cooked food, 54 for cakes, and 22 for barbecue.

“A briefing session and balloting process are set for March 4 at the MBKS Auditorium, offering essential information for vendors and ensuring equitable stall allocation.

“The permit fee for each stall is RM250, with a refundable security deposit of RM100, following previous years’ arrangements,” he said during a press conference at the MBKS building.

Wee stressed that the bustling Stutong Community Market parking area will once again serve as the venue for this year’s bazaar, offering a convenient location for patrons.
