MULU: A meeting has been held on issues related to airport and STOLport operations in the state.
The meeting chaired by state Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin was convened by the Sarawak Public Transportation Committee (SPTC) recently.
It examined current and future developments of airports and Short Take-off and Landing Airport (STOLport) operations in Sarawak.
“I appreciate the support of the SPTC Aviation Subcommittee members in advancing the Sarawak’s government’s aspirations to establish international quality standards for all airports and Stolport facilities,” said Lee.
Also present were Senior General Manager of Malaysia Airport Sdn Bhd (MASB) Kamaruzzaman Razali, Miri Airport Manager Jauhari Abdullah, Aviation Technical Adviser Dr. Sio Yew Hua, Head of Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) Sarawak Hajijah Mohd Bujang, and Principal Assistant Secretary of the federal Ministry of Transport (MOT) Ivy Goh Dzul.
