MUKAH: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) Sarawak has given a thumbs-up to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) traders in Daro near here for complying with the price fixed by the ministry.

Its enforcement head Mogan Arumugam said the price was fixed at RM26.60 per tank for direct buying from the shops.

He added that the price was reasonable although Daro is quite far from here.

“Congratulations to the traders for complying with the price,” he told a press conference at the ministry’s office here today (Mar 2).

Also present at the press conference were KPDNHEP Mukah branch chief Salihin Den and the state Inter-Agency Unit head Qartinee Mohamad Esa.

He said on Monday (Mar 1), the ministry conducted a check on the supply and price of LPG at wholesale and retail level in Daro.

Mogan, who was on a working visit here, was accompanied by Salihin and representatives.

He said the supply of LPG is sufficient for consumers in Daro while the price offered is in accordance with the rate fixed by the ministry.
