KUCHING: Powered by Neumaxx, Riverside Shopping Complex here the organiser and Persatuan Warisan Bumi Kenyalang Kuching as the co-organiser is organising Miss Ethnic Riverside for the second year.
The competition is open to all ladies aged 13 to 18 years from any races in Malaysia.
Thirty participants took part in the three categories namely “Dayung Sangon Bidayuh”, “Kumang Iban”, and “Keligit Orang Ulu”.
Registration and rehearsal were held at the lower ground floor of Riverside Shopping Complex on Saturday (1 July) while the semi-final will be held this Sunday (9 July) where all the participants will wear a creative or contemporary dress and will compete in a total of six subsidiary titles.
The subsidiary titles are Miss Popular, Miss Photogenic, Miss Elegant, Best Contemporary Dress, Miss Best Body and Miss Natural Beauty.
The final will be held on 15 July where the top five finalists from each category will wear a traditional costume.
This event has the support of UTC Sarawak Kuching, Kuching Waterfront and Persatuan Kreatif Sarawak. It is sponsored by Neumaxx, MaryKay, Lea Centre, Lotus Five Star, Grand Margherita Hotel, Riverside Majestic Hotel, Austin Car Accessories, Manoy Handicraft and Damai Beach Resort.
