Miss Stellar World Malaysia is not just a celebration of elegance and beauty; it is also a powerful statement on sustainability and women’s empowerment. The pageant is where dreams are nurtured, voices are amplified, and true beauty is celebrated.

Nurturing dreams, celebrating true beauties

Miss and Ms Stellar World Malaysia Borneo is calling all single, married, or divorced Bornean ladies to compete in the beauty pageant to be held here in Kuching this June.

The squad would begin hunting for their future queens as early as the first week of March, under the leadership of Kimi Tomas, the Borneo director and Ambassador of Empowerment for Miss Stellar World Malaysia.

“We are looking for remarkable women that exemplify grace, intelligence, and cultural pride across Borneo.

“This is your chance to shine on the national and international stages if you’ve ever aspired to showcase Borneo’s rich heritage and contribute to our vibrant community.

“Join us, and let’s showcase the unique beauty and spirit of Borneo to the world!” Kimi told the New Sarawak Tribune.

She pointed out that this beauty contest is not just a celebration of elegance and beauty; it’s a powerful statement on sustainability and women’s empowerment.

“Set against the backdrop of our collective need for environmental stewardship, the event seamlessly integrates eco-friendly practices, from the decor to the digital programmes, showcasing innovation in sustainable event planning.

“More importantly, it raises awareness of the leadership role played by women in the sustainability movement and encourages both guests and participants to advocate for a more equitable and environmentally friendly society.

“This gala stands as a testament to the beauty industry’s potential to drive positive change, making it a pioneering event that honours our planet while elevating the voices of women across Malaysia,” she said.

This competition is hijab-friendly, and participants must be between the ages of 18 and 34, be at least 150 centimetres tall, and weigh no more than 80 kilogrammes.

Fear not, ladies over 35, if you fulfil the required weight and height (same as the Miss category), you too can compete in this beauty pageant as a Ms Stellar World Malaysia Borneo contestant.

The three of them are united by a single, unwavering goal: to introduce our wonderful nation’s culture, heritage, and natural beauty to the world.

“We genuinely hope that this competition will serve as an inspiration to more Malaysian women, whether young or old, and will demonstrate that dreams can come true with perseverance and hard work.

Beyond her role as event organiser, Chan also serves as the national director of the 2024 Miss Stellar World Malaysia.

In her capacity, she has introduced the Sustainable Ambassador Award, which will be presented to a participant who embodies the principles of sustainability and women’s empowerment. This initiative creates a link between environmental advocacy and aesthetics, offering a powerful platform for spreading knowledge and enacting change.

“With a path that has shattered boundaries and stereotypes, I’ve always strived to embody strength, resilience, and empowerment.

“As a former beauty pageant winner (2023 Ms Plus Intercontinental World Malaysia), my journey has been anything but conventional.

“My goal is to inspire and uplift women all over the country as I now shift my focus to entrepreneurship and assume the position of national director for the groundbreaking Miss Stellar World Malaysia.

“This platform is more than a competition; it’s a movement towards empowering women to own their stories, ambitions, and successes.

“Together, let’s rewrite history by embracing beauty in all of its forms and promoting change that echoes beyond the stage. Here’s to breaking more barriers and paving the way for future generations,” she pointed out.

Meanwhile, Kimi, the Borneo director and Kimi Empire founder, stated that she will use her experience as the 2023 Mrs Global Asian winner to motivate, enlighten, and empower each and every contestant by giving them the right platform and an opportunity to shine.

“By promoting body positivity and self-confidence, I wish to make the beauty pageant industry a more inclusive and supportive environment.

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. You won’t ever fail if you never give up. Your success is something only you can decide,” she said.

Noreen Manggie, the Borneo assistant director, who works alongside Kimi, said that her goal is to ensure that Miss Stellar World Malaysia Borneo achieves its mission and vision of empowering women.

“Women are the epitome of wealth and power. Serving everyone’s needs, they simultaneously assume the responsibilities of mother, wife, housewife, cook, teacher, friend, caretaker, and others.

“There are a lot of Bornean women who are extremely talented and multitask; hence, I would ensure that all the deserving ladies will be given the chance to grow through the right platform,” said Noreen, who was also crowned the All Nation Ambassador for 2024 Ms Plus World Malaysia due to her contribution to the plus size community.

Miss and Ms Stellar Malaysia Borneo is organised by Kimi Tomas Empire and DCC Present Sdn Bhd in collaboration with Kelab Seni Budaya Anak Sarawak (KESERA), a non-governmental organisation.
