MIRI: A 60-year-old man, who was reported missing on Thursday morning has been found safe on the next day.
Batu Niah Fire and Rescue station chief Rary Binjie said the victim, identified as Rubat Jerie Naning, was found at a longhouse in Sungai Telong Suai Niah.
“He was found safe but in a weak condition by several plantation workers around 3.06pm on Friday.
“He was found at a longhouse nearby, about 2km from a location he was reported missing on Thursday,” he said.
Batu Niah fire station had launched a Search and Rescue (SAR) operation at 1.35pm after being informed that the man had gone missing.
The operation had been called off after they were told that the victim had been found at 4pm.
