KUCHING: About 100 cats put on a purr-fect show at the first ever post-Covid feline clutter here on Today (Aug 21).

The one-day event, themed, ‘Sayangi Kucing Sarawak’,was organised by Kuching North City Commission (DBKU).

In the highlight of the event, the cat costume category, Mokki meowed its way to top place followed by Bubu, Darren, Queenie and Sweetie .

Solomon was named the best kitten, best kitten with long hair was Latte, best adult short hair (Oscar), best Sarawak local cat (Tutu) and best grooming short hair (Sitara) and best grooming long hair (Awin).

The winners of every category received a cash prize of RM400, a trophy and a bag of cat food.

The Premier’s wife Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang officiated at the cat show which was held at Mydin Petra Jaya.

The event was organised in collaboration with Royale Borneo Cattery, Sarawak Street Cat Club,Sarawak Cat Lovers Club, Geng Pusak Jalanan Sarawak, Sarawak Cat Club and Mydin Petra Jaya.

Also present at the event were Deputy Minister for Utilities and Telecommunication Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, and DBKU mayor Datuk Junaidi Reduan.
