KOTA SAMARAHAN: A motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment following a crash along KM15, Jalan Kota Samarahan-Sadong Jaya this morning (May 21).
Sarawak Traffic Police chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the accident involving a motorcycle and a car happened around 11am when both vehicles were travelling from Kota Samarahan.
“Investigations found that the car, driven by a 46-year-old man, was heading towards Asajaya.
“As the car turned right into a farm, the victim who was riding a motorcycle suddenly crashed into the side of the car.
“As a result, the victim identified as Saruji Manggang, 59, sustained injuries and was rushed to Asajaya clinic,” he said.
However, the victim succumbed to his injuries and the body was taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).
He added that the driver sustained injuries on his face.
Alexson said the case is still under investigation.
