MRCS Sarawak recognises volunteers with awards

KUCHING: More than 20 categories of awards were presented to officers, leaders, members, and volunteers during the recent Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Sarawak Chapter Volunteers’ Recognition Night 2023.

The event at Purnama Hotel in Limbang  which was co-organised by MRC Sarawak Chapter and the MRC Limbang branch was attended by more than 600 volunteers across Sarawak.

“The Volunteers’ Recognition Night is an event where MRC Sarawak Chapter presents awards to recognise and appreciate volunteers who have been serving MRC and the community all year long.

“During the ceremony, more than 20 categories of awards were presented to officers, leaders, members, and volunteers for their great work last year. MRC Sarawak chapter deeply appreciates their dedicated, unselfish, committed, and loyal services to the society,” MRC Sarawak Chapter said in a statement today.

The society said MRC Limbang branch recognised and presented certificates of appreciation to 60 blood donors who have been actively contributing to the numerous blood donation campaigns.

Certificates of appreciation were also presented to government bodies and agencies, as well as corporate organisations which have been regularly supporting MRC in its humanitarian work.
