MRP grant of RM344k benefits 17 in Marudi

MULU State Assemblyman Dato Gerawat Gala in a group photo with all the grant recipients in Marudi District Office, yesterday.

MARUDI: A total of RM344,000 under the  Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant was distributed to 17 Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs) as well as Parents and Teachers Associations (PIBG) in the Mulu state constituency by its State  Assemblyman Dato Gerawat Gala.

The cheque presentation was held at the meeting room of Marudi district office yesterday.

Gerawat who is also State Assembly Deputy Speaker, requested the cooperation of all village heads to use the MRP’s assistance to the best according to its particular purpose or purposes.

Among the JKKK that received the MRP grants were JKKK Sg. Melikat (RM15,000);  JKKK Rh. Keir Sulang Ujai, Sg. Ujai Selejau Asal (RM44,000);  Marudi Dental Health Promotion Unit (RM1,500);  JKKK Rh. Micheal Selengkor (RM10,000);  JKKK Lubok Nibong Marudi (RM15,000); SJK Sg. Jaong (RM3,500);  Tai Lian Baram Song Fan Club (RM10,000); PTA SK Setapang (RM10,000), SJK (C) Huan Nam (RM15,000); JKKK Sg. Babi Marudi (RM20,000); JKKK Sg. Sebatang Marudi (RM30,000); JKKK Rh. Tanjong Stapang B Baram (RM30,000); JKKK Rh. Entika Poyut Marudi (RM40,000); JKKK Rh. Stapang C Bukit Kopi (RM40,000); JKKK Entap Sg. Sengkabang (RM40,000); JKKK Long Iman Tutoh (RM10,000) and JKKK Kampung Benali (RM10,000).

Meanwhile, Tuai Rumah Keir Sulang Ujai of Sg. Ujai Selajau thanked Dato Gerawat for helping them in terms of MRP assistance that is greatly needed  by their longhouse.
