TATAU: Minor Rural Project (MRP) grants amounting to RM128,000 were distributed to 15 Village Safety and Development Committees (JKKK) and a Parent-Teacher Association here on Tuesday (Oct 25).
Senator Rita Sarimah Patrick Insol handed over the cheques at the Tatau District Office.
“This grant is to help the JKKK carry out activities in their longhouse.
“We received many applications but they are given on a rolling basis due to limited allocation,” she explained.
She urged those who have applied but yet to get the grant to be patient.
At the same time, she called on longhouse folk to always stay united and work together.
Also present were Pemanca Gerosen Jubin, Penghulu Nyanau Jabong, Penghulu Enteri Anju and Penghulu Micheal Agul Reman.
