PADAWAN: It is not wrong to stop your vehicle by the roadside if you feel tired during a long journey.
Nevertheless, some people may become suspicious when a vehicle stops near a residential area.
This very occurrence on Thursday (May 5) at Taman Dusun Indah caused some residents to be over curious with suspicion, especially when the pickup truck was seen parking by the roadside there for quite a while.
One of them called the Padawan police to report on the incident. Subsequently a police team from the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Division and mobile patrol vehicle (MPV) unit were deployed to the scene.
Upon arriving, the team met with the complainant and they were led to the vehicle’s location to conduct inspections.
The driver woke up while the police were inspecting his vehicle.
It is believed that the man was resting for a while before he took a nap in his vehicle.
With that, the public are urged to stop at a safe place if they feel tired and take adequate rest before continuing their journey on the road.
