Cobblers in Mukah would soon be operating in this new building.

MUKAH:  The construction of a small building to house cobblers in the old town here was completed about a month ago.

Measuring about 10x30x10 feet, the building is made of metal sheet, which is also used for its roofing.

The building is divided into three rooms, specially stated as Kiosk 1, 2 and 3.

New Sarawak Tribune on Saturday (March 13) discovered that electric wiring has been installed, but is yet to be connected to the main supply.

Two cobblers in their 50s said there is no news yet on when they would be able to move into the new building.

“No news yet and we are still waiting from the authorities to inform us,” they said.

Currently, both of them are operating at a five-foot way at the dry market in the old town, which is less than 100 metres from the new building.
