KUALA LUMPUR: MYAirline has announced two new appointments to its leadership team, namely Senthil Balan Danapalan as chief commercial officer and Schrene Goh as chief marketing officer.
Bringing a wealth of expertise with them, they are tasked with developing the airline’s growth and expanding its brand as the organisation prepares itself for high-growth period based on its expansion plans.
According to a statement issued yesterday, Senthil will be overseeing MYAirline’s strategic commercial objectives.
Having previously worked with industry leaders in multiple industries such as Uber and Maxis, he is experienced in commercial and business development roles with specialization in revenue, strategy and leveraging partnerships.
He held a similar role at another low-cost airline, managing revenue flow and big teams, guiding them through different stages of growth including at startup and maturing stages.
Meanwhile, Schrene’s role includes managing the airline’s brands as well as marketing activities.
She held similar roles at two previous airlines including a low-cost carrier along with branding and marketing leadership at organisations such as Pos Malaysia and Lazada.
Some of her notable achievements include developing innovative products for brands along with launching bold integrated marketing campaigns.
She was also responsible for driving turnaround plans for brand-building and digital-first strategies focusing on customer centricity including positively engaging strategies on social media.
According to MYAirline chief executive officer Rayner Teo, the company is committed to investing in the best talent and leadership to guide them towards success.
“I have previously worked alongside Senthil and Schrene, they have the qualities and experiences that we are looking for. I am looking forward to achieving even greater results with them onboard,” he said.
