NAIM Foundation brings Aidilfitri cheer to the needy

KUCHING: NAIM Foundation, the charity arm of NAIM Group of Companies, recently donated more than RM100,000 worth of cash and goods to various underprivileged communities in Sarawak to bring Aidilfitri cheer to them.

The contribution to the Miri Malay Welfare Trust Board (LAKMM) was handed over during LAKMM’s Aidilfitri open house by NAIM’s regional general manager, Alice Ting.

Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and his spouse Datin Amar Datuk Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang witnessed the event.

“What is distinctive about Malaysia is that we are an inclusive multiracial society and constantly looking out for one another.

“We have made it a priority to keep our ears on the ground and from here, find avenues to help those in need, be it at the community, district, state or national level.

“We hope this will help ease the financial burdens of these underprivileged communities and bring a them cheer when they celebrate Hari Raya Aidilitri,” said Ting.

On hand to present the mock cheques to the representative from Muslim Welfare Organisation Malaysia (PERKIM) and Lawas Muslim Charitable Trust Board (LAKHIL) – Lawas branch, Datuk Maria Hasman, were NAIM’s executive director Beh Ewe Boon, chief operating officer Bryan Chen and manager Ahmad Dzulkarnian during a separate presentation ceremony at Wisma NAIM.
