KUCHING: NAIM Holdings Berhad has resumed offering educational scholarships to outstanding students especially those from Sarawak.

It will benefit 14 recipients, four each from Bintulu and Miri, and six from Kuching this time.

NAIM Holdings managing director, Datuk Hasmi Hasnan, said the scholarships are awarded to outstanding students to pursue studies at higher education institutions, especially in the state.

He pledged to provide scholarships to outstanding and high-performing students within the NAIM community and homeowners.

“Previously, we have also awarded NAIM scholarships, and now we are restarting it.

“However, all terms and conditions for application will be announced later, and what is certain is that the main criteria must be excellent students and not receiving any other scholarships,” he said.

He said this to reporters during the CNY open house at NAIM and the launch of the “Nfinity Loyalty” programme at Sapphire On The Park, here on Tuesday (Feb 13).

He added that for the scholarship programme, they prioritise individuals offered to continue their studies at local universities or colleges in the state.

“We have assisted several students before, and some of them have been working with us as engineers and others for several years,” he said.
