KUCHING: A new Covid-19 cluster has been identified at Taman BDC here, says Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

He said the cluster involved 37 cases and was linked to the Sri Petaling Tabligh gathering index cases.

“The Taman BDC cluster has mainly infected the family members, mosque-goers and their colleagues involving three generations,” he said in a media briefing on the daily Covid-19 situation in Putrajaya yesterday.

On another note, Dr Noor Hisham said no deaths were reported while the toll remained at 105.

“With the CMCO being enforced, it is important that the public continue to comply with the standard operating procedure set by the government such as adhering to the one-metre social distancing, practice good hygiene and put on face masks when necessary,” he said.

To date, the country has reported 55 more Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 6,353.
