KOTA KINABALU: The number of flood victims in Kota Belud as at 3.30 pm yesterday is 1,519, according to the Malaysian Civil Defence Force.
In a statement yesterday, it said that seven evacuation centres namely, Dewan Masyarakat Tun Said, Dewan Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Agama Tun Said, Dewan SMK Taun Gusi 1, Dewan SMK Taun Gusi 2, Dewan Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Taun Gusi, Dewan Muhibah Tombol and Dewan SK Pekan were currently in operation.
It added that Dewan Gopog Taginambur centre was closed at 11.50 am yesterday, as the flood waters have been receding.
