37 Unimas security guards complete auxiliary police basic training

KOTA SAMARAHAN: Thirty-seven University Malaysia Sarawak’s (Unimas) security guards completed their auxiliary police basic training at Police Training Centre (Pulapol) Kuching at Jalan Puncak Borneo recently.

They were among the 266 participants who completed the training last Friday.

The highest number of participants was from BLD Plantation Berhad with 74 trainees, followed by TA Ann Holdings Berhad (67), Unimas (37), Sarawak Oil Palms Berhad (33), Salcra (12), Palmhead Management & Consultancy Sdn Bhd (10), Public Works Department (9), Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (7), KTS Group Of Companies Sdn Bhd (5), Chief Minister’s Department (4), Telekom Malaysia (3), Tanjung Manis Integrated Port Sdn Bhd (3) and Shell MDS (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (2).

The passing out parade was officiated by Sarawak Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK) chief, SAC Shafie Ismail.

Also present at the ceremony were Sarawak Special Branch Deputy chief, ACP Mohamad Yusof Saiee and Pulapol Deputy Commandant, Supt Munsang Sabai.

At the ceremony, Unimas won two of the three awards with Inspector PB Raja Norazizah Raja Harun clinching the Overall Best Trainee Award and Lance Corporal PB Veronica Rantis taking the Best Academic Trainee Award.

PB Allowist Alton of BLD Plantation Berhad won the Best Outdoor Training Award.
