Malaysian flag flies at half mast in Sarawak

KUCHING: In adhering to the request of the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd. Najib Tun Abdul Razak, the State Secretary’s Office has issued a directive that the Malaysian flag (Jalur Gemilang) in the state be flown half mast for two days starting from yesterday until today (13 Sept) following the demise of the Sultan of Kedah, His Royal Highness Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah.

This is as a mark of respect and mourning for the late Sultan of Kedah who passed awayMonday afternoon at the age of 89 at Istana Anak Bukit, Alor Setar, Kedah.
