KUCHING: A 35-year-old man was arrested by police for allegedly raping his biological daughter.
The suspect, from Kampung Serayang, Lundu, was picked up by the police at 1.30pm on Sunday following a report by his wife at 3.20am on the same day.
According to the victim’s wife, her 13-year-old daughter related the ordeal to her via a text message, saying that she had been raped several times by her father.
She said she and her husband were separated two years ago and they were in the process of being divorce. She also said they had three children together and all the children were staying with her husband.
Kuching Police District chief, ACP Abang Ahmad Abang Julai confirmed the case and said the suspect had been detained for further questioning.
