MUKAH: The long-weekend in conjunction with Malaysia Day celebration had given an opportunity to a group of fine artists to do something for society especially to cheer up the town.

Known as Rejang Fine Artist’s Group (RFAG), they spent their precious time to paint another mural at  the Pasar Tamu or Dry Market here.

This time around the mural features local exotic foodstuffs like the famous Sago Worm locally known as Siet, leafy worm known as Lamas or Lameh, lobster and related insect.

Headed by a teacher from MARA Junior Science College of Mukah (MRSM Mukah), Hairy Azmeer Razali, the event had attracted a large number of locals passing by the area on Monday morning.

The mural measuring about 20 feet square was the second one to be painted by the group on the wall of this Pasar Tamu which is located near the riverbank of Mukah Old Town.

The first mural produced by the group was three times the size and located beside the latest piece which was officially handed over to the authority on April 20, this year.
