KUCHING: Police detained six individuals on suspicion of robbing several budget hotels and motels at Mile 3 here on Wednesday and Thursday.
Acting on information received, a police team from the Kuching District Police Headquarters (IPD Kuching) led by ASP Austin Patrick Angkon detained four suspects including a soldier at Kampung Bumbok, Jalan Batu Kitang, Padawan at around 11.00pm on Wednesday.
The police also seized a car, a knife, a sword and a machete from the suspects.
All four suspects, aged between 26 and 49, were taken to IPD Kuching for further investigation.
Following the arrest of the four suspects, two more suspects, aged 22 and 27, from Sadong Jaya, Asajaya and Kampung Masjid, Sebuyau, were detained by the police on Thursday.
