SRI AMAN: A vegetable seller sustained injury on her head after a rotten tree branch snapped and fell on her head in a open space behind a restaurant in the town here yesterday morning.

An officer of Sri Aman District Civil Defence Force (APM) Captain (PA) Siti Huzaimah Ibrahim said the victim has been identified as 52-year-old Saadiah binti Sali.

“Prior to the incident, Saadiah was with other vegetable sellers in the open space behind the Pasar Tamu Sri Aman while it was raining and windy.

“It is believed that the rain and windy condition caused the rotten tree branch to snap and fall on Saadiah’s head,” said Siti.

After the incident, a member of the public contacted Sri Aman APM at 9.07am where three APM personnel were dispatched to the scene.

Upion arrival at the scene the three personnel immediately attended to the victim before she was taken to Sri Aman Hospital in an ambulance fior further treatment.

“Saadiah was taken to Sir Aman Hopsital in an APM ambulance for further treatment at 9.17am,” she said.
