KUCHING: Yayasan Ikhlas in collaboration with Plaza Merdeka Shopping Centre organised a donation campaign called ‘School Kit Assistance’ to assist the needy and unfortunate high school students. The campaign was launched by Yayasan Ikhlas Chairman, Dato’ Mohd Rosli Ramli at the shopping mall here yesterday.
“We are targeting for some 250 high school students throughout the state where the presentation of school kit assistance will be held in middle of Jan next year. “The collection campaign for school item donation begins yesterday until Dec 25 while, the cash collection begins Dec 18 until Jan 1,” he said and appealed members of the public to donate their items.
He added in last year, the campaign has successfully assisted more than 700 students throughout Malaysia and 185 from Sarawak alone.
