SPAOH: A family in Kampung Mangut here was left in shock yesterday (Jan 13) upon discovering a nine-foot-long reticulated python nestled in a woodpile.

The Civil Defence Force (APM) Spaoh swiftly responded to the distress call prompted by the residents’ concerns for their safety with the reptile roaming nearby.

Upon arrival, the team meticulously and carefully combed the area and located the python concealed beneath the woodpile.

Equipped with a snake hook and snake tong, they adeptly captured the reptile and placed it in a container.

Subsequently, the python was released back into its original habitat, away from the residential areas.
