No new Covid-19 case

KUCHING: Sarawak recorded no new positive Covid-19 case on Monday (Aug 10), with the total number of positive cases remaining at 681.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said there were four new recovery cases, bringing the total number that had recovered and discharged to 656, or 96.33 per cent.

“At present, there are six cases undergoing treatment at isolation wards in hospitals. The total Covid-19 deaths in Sarawak remain at 19 or 2.79 per cent,” he told the press at the daily Covid-19 update on Monday (Aug 10).

Apart from that, 34 new person under investigation (PUI) cases were reported while one case was awaiting lab result.

To date, there are 10 active clusters in the state namely Engineering Firm with eight cases, Mambong (seven), Medical Centre (three), Jupiter (three), Stutong Market (seven), Kuching Jetty (two), Sentosa (31), PUI Melbourne (three), Kuching Construction Company (two) and Satok Market (four).
