Only 32 entries for Francis Harden Cup, anyone?

SRI AMAN: People in Sri Aman area are invited to join the Datuk Francis Harden Hollis Cup 2017 futsal competition at Indoor Stadium, Sarawak Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBSS) Sri Aman scheduled from May 5 to 7.

Spokesperson, Jilin Itar said the competition, organised by the Football Association of Sri Aman Division (FASA), is divided into men’s and women’s categories and limited to only 32 teams.

“The objective of the competition is to provide an opportunity for football fans to showcase their talents and create a culture of healthy lifestyle.
“It indirectly strengthens the social ties among players and also raise the futsal sport besides football,” he said.

The champions of the men’s category will take home a cash prize of RM1,200, the Datuk Francis Harden Hollis trophy, an accompany trophy and medals.

Second placed team would bring home a cash prize of RM1,000, an accompany trophy and medals while third placed team will get a cash prize of RM750, an accompany trophy and medals.

A cash prize of RM500 and an accompany trophy also will be given to the fourth team.

Meanwhile, the champions of the women’s category would bring home a cash prize RM700, accompany trophy and medals.

The runners-up team will receive a cash prize of RM500, accompany trophy and medals.

The third place will take home a cash prize RM300, an accompany trophy and medals while the fourth team will get a cash prize RM100 and accompany trophy.

The closing date for entries is on May 3 at 5.00 pm.

Briefing and balloting session for all the teams will be held at the Operations Room, Fire and Rescue Station Sri Aman starts at 2pm on May 4.
