SIBU: A total of 58 summonses were issued during Ops Mabuk here on Friday night.
Acting Sibu district police chief Supt Collin Babat said on Saturday (Jan 29) they were booked for various traffic offences including driving under the influence of alcohol.
“The operation was carried out by Sibu district Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Division together with the Traffic Enforcement Investigation Department Sarawak Contingent at Jalan Channel,” he said.
Collin added that during the operation, a total of 114 vehicles and 69 individuals were inspected during the operation.
The operation started at 9pm and ended at 2am the following day.
