MUKAH: The Mukah Division Cross Country Competition 2019 will be held tomorrow (Jan 26).
Some 228 secondary and 36 primary school students in this division are expected to participate in the competition.
Jointly organised by the Mukah District Education Office (PPD Mukah) and SMK St Patrick Mukah, the long-distance run is scheduled to commence at 7am. According to a spokesman for the event Abang Johan, the flag-off would be held in front of the St Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church.
“SMK St Patrick’s Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) chairman Zaidi Morshidi will flag-off the event which is scheduled to end at the school’s multi-purpose hall,” Johan said.
He added that PPD Mukah human development management unit head Awang Sarkawi Awang Rosli is expected to represent the Mukah District Education Officer to officiate at the closing ceremony and to present prizes to the winners.
