Pedestrian killed near Jln Tun Salahuddin bridge

KUCHING: A woman pedestrian was killed in a fatal collision along Jalan Tun Salahuddin last night (Aug 26).
 
The accident is believed to have involved an express bus that was travelling towards Pending.
 
Kuching police chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah, when contacted today (Aug 27), confirmed that they had received a report pertaining to the crash at 9.44pm.
 
“The accident happened around 8pm, and the female pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
“Her identity is still under investigation,” he said.
 
The public, who has any information regarding the case or the deceased’s identity, is urged to channel it to any of the nearest police stations.
 
Ahsmon stated that the case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
