KUCHING: Police nabbed 13 people in a raid at a double-storey terraced house in Batu Kawa yesterday.

In the 9.30am raid, which was initiated by state police commissioner, a CID team from IPK Sarawak led by ASP Lim Jaw Shyong seized seven sets of computer and 29 handphones.

Initial check by the raiding party revealed that the centre transacted a monthly gambling stacks of about RM1 million.

Those arrested are being investigated under Section 4B(a) of the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953 & Section  4(1)(c) & (d) Betting Act 1953.
