KAPIT: A special dinner was held recently here for Special Branch Officer of the Kapit Police Department ASP Chua Su Hua who has been promoted to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) by the Police Services Commission.
Chua who hails from Kapit joined the PDRM on March 6, 1988 and has been attached to the Special Branch for the last 31 years. He has earned his various promotions in the rank and file through his loyalty, commitment and dedication to the force.
So far he has served in Special Branch PDRM Sarawak Contingent, Special Branch Sibu and Kapit.
Now, he is on transfer back to Special Branch PDRM Sarawak Contingent after three years one month tour of duty in Kapit.
The recent dinner held at a local restaurant was hosted by the Kapit Chinese Community Leaders’ Association (KCCLA) led by Temenggong Tan Kian Hoo. It was to congratulate Chua’s promotion.
Apart from Tan and members of KCCLA, also attending the dinner were Bukit Goram assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat, community leaders and government officials.
In a brief remark, Jamit congratulated Chua on his promotion to DSP. He commended Chua for being a dedicated police officer.
