KUCHING: The SAMAceramah Pejuang Melayu Sarawak 2024: Syarahan Rosly Dhoby and Rukun 13 programme promotes religious unity and cultural identity in Sarawak.

It is organised by Amanah Khairat Yayasan Budaya Melayu Sarawak (AKYBMS).

AKYBMS general manager Datuk Sanib Said stated that the programme here aimed to serve as a platform for appreciating significant religious events and Islamic historical milestones as well as during the holy months.

“In addition to that, programmes such as this also play a pivotal role in shaping self-identity, instilling Islamic values, and fostering spiritual empowerment among participants,” he said.

He said this during his speech when officiating at the programme at Al Abyad Mosque in Matang Jaya, here on Saturday.

Aligned with the objectives outlined in the Sarawak Malay Strategic Plan 2035 (PSMS 2035), he pointed out that the programme here focused on implementing strategies to strengthen religious cores and reinforce Sarawak’s Malay identity.

“By spreading Islamic values through religious activities, it fosters a deeper appreciation for Islam and enhances cultural cohesion within the community,” he said.
