KUCHING: The Village Security and Development Committees (JKKKs) are given guidelines for them to implement the rural transformation programme (RTP) projects in terms of cost not exceeding RM200,000.

Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said that implemented projects under the committee do not require involvement of expertise.

“The projects usually do not need the involvement of technical engineering expertise or technical in nature.

“For instance, the laying of water pipes or projects like titi belian, pontoon and more,” she told New Sarawak Tribune.

Fatimah added that the projects can also be carried out on a gotong-royong basis and monitoring will be done by the District Office.
