KUCHING: Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) Simanggang branch recently held a Randau Session with Progressive Democratic Party (PDP).

It was attended by members of PSB and PDP including Meluan assemblyman Roland Duat, Krian assemblyman Friday Belik, PDP Sri Aman chairman Sia Pik Jiu, and PSB Simanggang branch chairman Wilson Entabang.

According to Wilson, the purpose of the session was to explain to both parties’ members on the memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding the collaboration to work together for the betterment of the people and to strengthen the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) state government.

“In view of the present political scenario in Malaysia whereby racism and religious fanaticism are on the rise, we in Sarawak need to unite and strengthen our political stand to stop and neutralise the scenario.

“We need to give our full support to the unity government at the federal level headed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for our beloved motherland and to continue enjoying the peace and harmony between all ethnic gtoupss, he said in a statement on Tuesday (Aug 29).

Wilson said such Randau Session must be continued throughout the state so that the people can understand the good and honest intentions of both parties.

He said the collaboration to work together is to really strengthen the state government and to ensure the smooth development of Sarawak.

“So far, the response from both parties’ members has been positive, showing their undivided support to the GPS government and the leadership of our Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg,” he said.
