KUCHING: Aspiring Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) candidate for Betong, Dr Saudi Narani, has quit the party with immediate effect.

Saudi said he submitted his letter of disassociation to the party headquarters.

“I know very well they (PSB) will deny my membership for reasons known to them, but that is not important to me,” he said in a statement on Monday (Oct 26).

He said what was important is that he does not want to be associated with PSB anymore.

“I have had enough and now I want to be on my own — a free man. Without fear of favour, I must say that I have lost confidence in PSB,” he said.

Saudi said he cannot trust PSB to bring development and changes for the people of Sarawak.

“Without any pressure from anyone, I fully trust the current Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government under the leadership of our respected Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg,” he said.

He said the chief minister is a leader of transformation, who delivers and walks the talk.

“I believe that GPS is the most relevant in bringing full development to Sarawak for now and years to come,” he said.
