SIBU: A total of 55 orphans in Juma’ani Tuanku Haji Bujang Welfare Complex (KKJTHB) here, received donation from Ragad Foundation yesterday (April 18).
The foundation’s chairperson, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib, the wife of head of state Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud presented the donations to the recipients.
The complex’s branch manager, Najilanisa Suhaili said the orphans were very happy with the contribution.
“This is a very positive thing and the orphans are very happy because there are parties like them who are willing to come and contribute to the children.
“We hope that this can be an example to people out there, to come forward to help the orphans,” she said.
Najilanisa hoped that more NGOs would come forward to assist the complex.
“The help or the willingness of the people is very important for the survival of the complex,” she said.
