KUCHING: About 118 students from Rumah Kebajikan Peryatim Laila Taib were treated to a fast-breaking event at Dormani Hotel here recently.
Persela Group of Companies has been carrying out this programme on a yearly basis as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Eleven teachers from the home were also invited to join and accompany the students and they all had the opportunity to enjoy the buffet served by the hotel.
Representatives of the Persela also handed out Duit Raya to the students.

Meanwhile, Persela also invited 36 children and seven staff members from Rumah Nur Murni for a separate fast breaking fete.
The children presented some performances in appreciation of their host before they were given Duit Raya.
According to Persela, it believes by taking an active part in nurturing and supporting the lives of underprivileged children, it will set a good example for other companies and the general public to follow.
