TEBEDU: Tebedu assemblyman Dr Simon Sinang Bada handed over a cheque of RM330,000 from the Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) to four churches in his constituency.
Out of this total, St Jakabus Church in Kampung Payau Mawang received RM60,000, St. Mary’s Church in Kampung Kakeng received RM70,000, while St. Peter’s Church in Kampung Gahat Mawang and St. Laurence Church in Kampung Lobang Batu Mawang each received RM100,000.
According to Dr Sinang, the allocation to these four churches is specifically for renovation and refurbishment work on their church buildings.
Therefore, he advised the village chiefs, church chairpersons, and church committee members to use these funds effectively for the smooth implementation of the upcoming projects.
In other developments, Dr Sinang also said that more projects under the Greater Kuching Development Coordination Agency (GKCDA) will be carried out starting next year.
