KUCHING: A 38-year-old man was fined RM2,000 or three months’ jail by the Magistrate’s Court here today for hitting his lover with a chair and causing injuries to her.
The accused, Christphor Jembu Jenang, 38, from Layar, Betong pleaded guilty to committing the offence before Magistrate Zubaidah Sharkawi.
He was charged with deliberately causing injuries to Hilda Kerop, 35, by hitting her with a wooden chair.
He committed the offence in a house at Taman Seri Cahaya, Jalan Batu Kawah at 7.20am on Feb 8 last year.
