RM420k for Tabika upgrade

PUSA: Allocations totalling RM420,000 from both the federal and state governments will be used to upgrade five Tabika Kemas buildings in the Saribas constituency.

Saribas assemblyman Mohammad Razi Sitam said: “The first allocation of RM240,000 was channelled through the Economic Stimulus Package announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin recently during the movement control order (MCO). It will be used to upgrade three Tabika Kemas buildings in Kampung Tuie.”

He added that another RM180,000 was given under the Sarawak government’s Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) to upgrade Tabika Kemas buildings in Kampung Medang and Buda.

Razi told Sarawak Voice this during a visit to Tabika Kemas C in Kampung Tuie on Sunday.

He was happy the state and federal governments were focusing on the development of early childhood education in rural areas.

Also present during Razi’s visit were Penghulu Merawi Ais, Kampung Tuie village chief Mostapha Brahim as well as a representative of Betong Division Kemas Dayang Madinah Abang Yaman.
