RM560k approved for SK Kpg Sawai’s new pre-school building

MATU: The Sarawak government has approved an allocation of RM560,000 for the construction of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kampung Sawai’s new pre-school building.

This was recently announced by Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad during the school’s appreciation ceremony.

According to a news report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), for the convenience and comfort of students commuting to school, Safiee also approved an allocation under the rural transformation programme (RTP) amounting to RM150,000 to upgrade the SK Kampung Sawai jetty.

At the ceremony, he also informed attendees that the Kampung Sawai Hall upgrade project, worth RM220,000, will be implemented by April this year and that the Rural Electricity Supply project is actively being carried out.

In addition, he also handed over a donation of RM30,000 to the school’s parent-teacher association (PTA) to upgrade the Astaka SK Kampung Sawai, which has been rebranded as the Astaka Safiee.

Safiee also announced a donation of RM8,000 to the SK Kampung Sawai PTA to help implement their annual activities.

Also present were the school’s headmaster Ian Felix Arip, the school’s PTA president Yasti Mit, Daro Education Office representative Junaidi Mohammed and Primula Gemilang Sdn Bhd managing director Rusdi Mohd Nor.
