RM68,000 aid allocated to Tellian fishermen

KUCHING: A total sum of RM68,000 has been allocated by the Sarawak government to implement the Fishermen’s Fishing Equipment Input Assistance (BIPPN) in the Tellian area.

The aid was presented by Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine yesterday.

Each fisherman received equipment such as coolers, life jackets, scales, and nets worth RM2,000.

Also present at the symbolic handover ceremony were Sapari Morshidi, fisheries officer from headquarters and Malisaa Bonaventure, representative from the Department of Agriculture.
